About My Work

I create landscape photography for homes and spaces where people want something with visual presence and craft. I focus on dramatic environments—Southwest deserts, Atlantic coastlines, forests and waterfalls, ancient temples, night skies—photographed with care for composition, light, and lasting quality.

The work you see here represents careful selection. I show only pieces that meet a consistent standard: images with compositional strength, authentic color, and the substance to hold up over time. These are photographs made to live in your space for years.

My Background

I've been photographing since high school—starting in darkrooms with film and chemistry, eventually transitioning to digital work. I was born in Maine, which taught me to see rocky coastlines, fog, and the particular quality of North Atlantic light. I've lived in Phoenix for decades now, where the desert and dark skies offer completely different visual lessons.

I return to Maine every year to photograph the coast I grew up with—the same granite shores, harbors, and weather patterns I've known my whole life. This year I'm traveling to Scotland and Ireland, where my family originated. My Scottish ancestor was captured at the Battle of Dunbar in 1650 and brought to America as an indentured servant. Four centuries later, I'm photographing the landscapes he left behind.

I also work in other locations—architectural landmarks, forest regions, anywhere that offers strong visual material. The thread that connects it all is an emphasis on composition, authentic representation, and work that functions well in contemporary interiors.

How I Work

Every image is photographed with professional equipment and printed on archival materials designed to last. I offer different sizes and materials to accommodate various spaces and budgets. Color accuracy is managed carefully throughout the process—what you see on screen closely matches what arrives on your wall.

If you're working on a larger project, need help determining the right size for your space, or want to discuss custom options, I'm available for consultation. I understand that choosing art for your home or office is a significant decision, and I'm happy to help make the process clearer.
