Framed prints arrive ready to hang
Framed paper prints are matted with a 2" white mat and protected by non-glare acrylic, so the image stays clear without reflections from windows or lights. Acrylic is lighter and safer to ship than glass, and every framed print arrives with hanging hardware already attached.
MetalPrints with a float mount or frame also arrive ready to hang.

About this photograph
Dawn at Virginia Beach with the fishing pier extending into the Atlantic offers classic coastal composition—the pier's repeating vertical pilings creating rhythm and leading lines toward the horizon. The challenge is timing the shot for that brief window when the rising sun colors the sky and water without becoming so bright it overwhelms the scene.
The wet sand at low tide acts as a mirror, doubling the pier's structure and the sky's warm tones. This reflection adds visual complexity and emphasizes the horizontal-vertical interplay between ocean, beach, and pier architecture. The scattered clouds catch sunrise color without blocking too much light, adding sky interest while letting illumination reach the water and sand.
Early morning also means empty beach and pier—no people to complicate the composition, just the structural elements and natural light. The calm water typical of dawn creates that smooth, contemplative quality rather than dramatic wave action.
Dawn conditions create calm reflections and warm light on this classic mid-Atlantic coastal scene.
