Framed prints arrive ready to hang
Framed paper prints are matted with a 2" white mat and protected by non-glare acrylic, so the image stays clear without reflections from windows or lights. Acrylic is lighter and safer to ship than glass, and every framed print arrives with hanging hardware already attached.
MetalPrints with a float mount or frame also arrive ready to hang.

About this photograph
The pools and waterfalls in the Kīpahulu area of Haleakalā National Park (also known as the Seven Sacred Pools or 'Ohe'o Gulch) cascade down toward the ocean along Maui's Hana Highway. These aren't towering waterfalls but rather a series of tiered pools connected by smaller drops through lush tropical vegetation.
The challenge is managing the extreme contrast between bright water and deep forest shadows in Hawaii's intense light. Using a polarizing filter helps reduce glare off the wet rocks and vegetation while saturating the greens. A slower shutter speed smooths the water flow without completely blurring it, maintaining some texture and sense of movement.
The tropical vegetation—ferns, vines, introduced bamboo, native ohia—creates that dense jungle character distinctive to windward Maui. The constant moisture from stream spray keeps everything perpetually wet, intensifying colors and creating that saturated green that defines Hawaiian rainforest landscapes.
Lush tropical setting and tiered cascades create intimate waterfall composition along Maui's windward coast.
