Framed prints arrive ready to hang
Framed paper prints are matted with a 2" white mat and protected by non-glare acrylic, so the image stays clear without reflections from windows or lights. Acrylic is lighter and safer to ship than glass, and every framed print arrives with hanging hardware already attached.
MetalPrints with a float mount or frame also arrive ready to hang.

About this photograph
I photographed this at Virginia Beach just after sunrise, positioning myself so the Virginia Beach Fishing Pier served as a leading line into the composition. The unmarked sand and calm Atlantic water were ideal—any footprints or wave action would have disrupted the minimalist feel I was after.
The key was timing it for that brief window immediately following sunrise when the light creates warm tones in the clouds without overpowering the scene. I wanted those soft blues and golds that characterize early morning coastal light on the mid-Atlantic coast.
The pier provides structure and depth, drawing your eye from the foreground beach through to the horizon. Combined with the pastel sky and smooth water, it creates that sense of calm emptiness you get on a beach before the crowds arrive.
The soft colors and minimal composition emphasize tranquility and open space.
