Framed prints arrive ready to hang
Framed paper prints are matted with a 2" white mat and protected by non-glare acrylic, so the image stays clear without reflections from windows or lights. Acrylic is lighter and safer to ship than glass, and every framed print arrives with hanging hardware already attached.
MetalPrints with a float mount or frame also arrive ready to hang.

About this photograph
Sandbridge Beach south of Virginia Beach offers less crowded shoreline than the main resort area, making it ideal for dawn photography when you want empty beach and undisturbed sand. The challenge at sunrise is timing—catching that brief window when the sky shows color but the sun hasn't risen high enough to create harsh contrast.
The dune fencing serves both practical and compositional purposes: it protects fragile dune vegetation from foot traffic while creating leading lines that draw your eye from foreground toward the ocean and horizon. The rippled sand patterns from overnight wind add texture, while a few early shorebirds provide scale and life without cluttering the minimalist composition.
Dawn's soft light creates pastel tones—pinks and oranges reflecting in the wet sand and calm surf. The footprints show someone walked this beach earlier, adding human presence without actual figures. Low tide exposes more beach, emphasizing the horizontal expanse characteristic of the mid-Atlantic coast.
Dawn light and protected dunes create serene, minimalist composition on Virginia's southern coast.
