Framed prints arrive ready to hang
Framed paper prints are matted with a 2" white mat and protected by non-glare acrylic, so the image stays clear without reflections from windows or lights. Acrylic is lighter and safer to ship than glass, and every framed print arrives with hanging hardware already attached.
MetalPrints with a float mount or frame also arrive ready to hang.

About this photograph
The Bisti Badlands in northwestern New Mexico transform at dusk when storms pass through the area. These eroded mudstone formations—shaped over millions of years by wind and water—take on dramatic character when backlit by sunset breaking through storm clouds.
This evening featured that ideal combination: clearing weather after a storm system, with clouds positioned to catch the pink and orange light while the formations themselves stood in shadow. The contrast emphasizes their sculptural quality—you see them as dark silhouettes against the illuminated sky rather than in direct sunlight, which changes how you perceive their forms.
The challenge was timing and exposure: the light window lasts maybe fifteen minutes, and balancing the bright sky against the shadowed foreground required careful metering. The layered clouds add depth and visual interest beyond just the rock formations, creating atmosphere that emphasizes the desert's vast scale.
Dusk storm light creates dramatic silhouettes and emphasizes the badlands' sculptural character.
