It was a Cold and Crisp Morning . . .
The morning was cold as I put my camera bag on my back and grabbed my tripod. The morning air was clean and crisp as I breathed in that fresh mountain air, taking in the scene before me.
I walked on the frost-covered meadow as I approached the banks of Schwabacher's Landing. The Grand Teton before me reached up into the sky, still clothed in the snows of winter.
It was May, but it sure felt more like December! I was chilled, but the scene before me was majestic, and as I set up for the shot, the beauty of what I saw quickly let me forget the chill.
The stillness of the water was incredible. I had hoped for the river's stillness, but the Tetons' reflection in the waters before me was mesmerizing as I stared like a kid.
A smile crossed my face as I began to see the first rays of light hit the tallest peak, then shortly thereafter begin to touch the other peaks with that ethereal glow that you can only see in high altitudes.
I felt like a kid in a candy store as I took shot after shot, not even taking time to check my preview on the back of the camera. I was just taking photos and reveling in the dawn of the new day.
I hope this photograph brings you as much joy as it brings me. It is peaceful and serene, and the reflection of the Grand Tetons in the still water makes it special for me.
Peace,
